Excellent loop starting from the Carson Pass trailhead on Hwy 88. Went clockwise on good trails with lots of water, greenery and flowers. South a few miles on the PCT, then west on Summit City Canyon trail and back north past 4th of July, Round Top and Winnemucca Lakes. Also took a side trip up 10,381' Round Top peak.

Spent the night at Woods Lake, motorcycle camping. Next day great hike up to Round Top for a swim. This area is sometimes busy but few others were there today.
