While this hike appeared to be very treacherous when viewed from the summit of Peak 2640 an hour earlier, from the trail head at the southern base of Battle Axe Butte it looked like a piece of cake. It turned out to be a mixture, most of it being the easy part with some of the treacherous thrown in near the end.

Thankfully the sheer drops I saw from the east were more optical illusion than reality and with just a little extra care I traversed the worst areas without fear... ok, ok, with my fear of heights I was scared, just not enough to voice it out loud, not that that matters hiking solo.

Again I filmed the hike to the summit with my GoPro HeroHD and again it will be a while before I get it posted.
