This little lake is just so sad. It is a small fraction of its correct size, and is very muddy. Kind of dreary, despite the unusual heat of the day, bright sunshine. I walked all the way around it. I saw an osprey and a heron.

I camped here with my brother back in '69, at the conclusion of a four-month VW Bus adventure that took us up the coast to Canada, and back down through the Rocky Mountain states. Woodstock and the moon walk happened while we were on our journey. And Kaibab Lake was our last camp of the trip. The next day we drove back to San Diego.

I had not been to Kaibab Lake since that time.

I can walk over there from where I am living. I'll bring a camera next time. The little trail around the lake is suitable for mountain biking as well.

 I was driving out of Williams and saw a cute little sign saying "Kaibab Lake", I swerved across the 64 and turned into the entrance, A lake?! Holy beans I didn't know there was a lake out here?!

Uh huh....I might have been a bit disappointed....this lake is ITTY BITTY....its like a watering hole...well, whatever, cartwheel, done.
Speed walk the loop around the lake....done.
Bored? Eh....a bit, was pretty hilarious over all.

Seems the area is being attacked by bark beetles, the warning signs are everywhere!!

Great place to car camp I guess, or fish, or...Ummm....yeah, that's about it.
