Did an out and back from Fort Churchill State Park east to Buckland Station and followed the Carson River towards Lahonton State Recreation Area. Part of this was on the California Trail. Fun, lots of water flowing in the Carson.

Did it as an overnight to make it more enjoyable. The weather, although cool at night is perfect this time of year. No bears but they are around. Travelled light-no electronics.
