| partners | | This was day hike one of three for me during this, my planned late September'13 seven day vehicle camping trip to our Mogollon Rim on the hunt for early 
On 8/21 Larry had completed an exploratory hike in the upper section of Yeager Canyon drainage. For this September'13 visit he researched another exploratory route in the middle section via a hiking route which would keep us up high on the upper rim canyon logging roads so we would have an easier go of it and also allow us the opportunity to assess the early autumn foliage status of this section of canyon as well as determine if on a later trip, we may desire to hike within this section of the Yeager Canyon drainage.
I enjoyed this interesting, easy, and pleasant hike (family friendly with just a little route finding ability) along mostly old logging roads within the upper rim area of middle Yeager Canyon, but I do believe that we both agreed that it is definitely not a Mogollon Rim area for prime Autumn colors with so many other M/Rim hike options to choose from, and also probably not worth the effort to plan a return trip to this segment for hiking within Yeager Canyon. Next trip maybe an exploratory further down middle to lower Yeager Canyon..TBD |
