| no partners | | With a forecast for warm, sunny skies we headed out to try this close to town hike that promised great views. As others have mentioned, the first part of the trail is rough as the old logging road was torn up several times but after about 1.5 miles it becomes your typical logging road. Rocky but wide enough to walk side by side if you're so inclined. Great views start at the first clear cut area. Continuing up to radio tower provides more views. From the radio tower if you continue up along the logging road, you'll be rewarded with great views of Mt. Rainier if you take a few steps off the road just as it starts descending (N47 20.017, W121 51.441). |
