Essentially completion of FR 117 via the mellow Hunter Creek. The Christopher Mountain HP was a side trip bonus. Snowshoe Ridge seems interesting. Hellsgate and its peripherals are sofa king wild, so just a little poking around the outskirts before going deep...

This was peak #1 today for my weekend SOTA Activities. Getting to this peak was fun. I had 2 options hike from where Christopher Mountain Road meets the Chamberlin Trail or attempt the 4wd road in the Jeep. I decided to test my 4wd skills. The road itself is high clearance 4wd when dry and likely not when wet. I made it most of the way before deciding to walk the last half mile to the summit.

On the Summit the views were okay nothing to write home about. I managed to contact other SOTA operators on Mt. Ararat in Mt Rainer National Park and another in Northern California.

I only worked for about 45min on this one as I had a second peak planned for the day.
