| no partners | | I've been a Prescott dude since 2005. Been down to the Row a gazillion times. NEVER knew about the Granite Creek Trail system aka Greenway Trails System. Was entertaining a client for dinner a few weeks ago and we tried to get into El Gato Azul without a reservation, fat chance. Decided to walk a few blocks for sushi and noticed a stairwell down next from the restaurant (Goodwin Street bridge) into the Granite Creek Trail. We walked down and over a block to the stairwell up on Gurley Street. Felt like I was in San Antonio along the River Walk.
Doing some research discovered the city trail system was about 1.5 miles (3 miles RT) and was worthy of some easy peasy trail running. The trail was well groomed and very representative of the city trails in Austin Texas as well. I did the full loop at dusk, practically empty. The Granite Creek was flowing. Life is good. |
