Thought I would drive up this canyon a few miles to see what it looked like and check for flowers. Nothing special was seen, just the ubiquitous brittlebush in bloom, and a few other wildflowers. Since this is a well known illegal traffic corridor, I had the pleasure of being checked out by a BP helicopter (those guys have to have a blast flying low through those canyons). Next, a BP vehicle came down canyon for a visit. Said they were monitoring a group of 5 working down canyon heading toward the S2. Earlier, just after I packed up from camping at Vallecito, I watched a BP plane land at the airstrip by Agua Caliente. All part of a typical day in these parts, just like back in Southern Arizona.
