Road Trip Day 3
Not so much as a hike, more of a walk down the dirt road where you can park your RV. Nothing new to view on the "Hike" here, views are just as good just off the parking lot. This does seem like an RV distination with an amazing view.

first stop of our 2021 trip
my friend sue from nebraska and i have been to utah four or five times now
wanted to hike this trail and then stay at goosenecks state park since seeing @chumley's trip and write up
my car easily made it to the upper trailhead and we got going around 1330
nice view 1200 feet down to the san juan river
steeper drops alternating with more moderate terrain on a variety of switchback lengths
had to watch footing most of the time
spent a few minutes at the river
had a nice breeze and some cloud cover on the way up
could not make the step over the gap on horn point on the way down
wind and pack weight were throwing me off, then thought about it too long
successfully made the point on the way back up :)
nice trail construction and a unique hike
set up at goosenecks in the wind, which thankfully died down some by morning
would do this hike/camp combo again
