This was plan B after being denied access to Salt River at Regal Canyon earlier in the day. It turned out to be an excellent backup plan. Amazing 360 views. You really have to see it in person to fully appreciate. This would be an amazing place to be at sunrise with clear skies. What a campsite! Car camping at its best. I will be back.

This was our Plan B four wheel drive day outing off Hwy 60 north of Globe within the Tonto NF bordering the remote, very scenic San Carlos Indian Reservation and the White Mountain Apache Reservation at the Salt River.

Our earlier in the morning Plan A four wheel drive trip, HAZ- Salt River at Regal Canyon https://hikearizona.com/x.php?x=159522 four wheel drive trip had to be aborted due to being just too risky for us to drive FR473A to the viewpoint road end with our (other than upgraded tires) stock 4WD Xterra.

As it turned out, this alternate ssk44 Plan B was an excellent choice that justified a new HAZ Description/Published Guide so others can hopefully also enjoy!

Having camped for a week and off-trail day hiked some of this very scenic and very remote, less traveled area [ photo ] with HAZ- Oregon_Hiker back in March'18, this new Eric find viewpoint location was particularily rewarding for me to have another opportunity to see this area from a different prespective. This area has much to offer!
