This multi-day trip had been in our planned Camping Trip que for a number of months since HAZ-ssk44 (Eric) had viewed and shared with Oregon_Hiker and myself another Google Earth located, lesser known and significant size, ancient Native American Compound.

Due to other personal priorities and commitments in September, October, and early to mid-November'18, we were not able to schedule this intitially planned 5nt/6day camping-hiking trip until the last week of November'18 to camp at 6255ft elevation (see my photoset & photo captions/comments for what I now think about camping at 6255ft in late Nov :) ). We had other new areas of off-trail hiking interest locally which justified a multi-day trip plus I had hoped to again visit and share with Larry a couple of hiking area good memories to [ Jerky Butte Ruins ] and to the [ Rock Creek Cabin - Sierra Ancha ] . We were able to visit all we had planned except for the Rock Creek area.

Forecasted rain and snow at 6000' and above prompted us to leave one day early.. late morning on Thurs-11/29/18. Up early again day five at 6:am (45 minutes before light), with Larry's help (thank you!) and no breakfast or coffee for me on this departure morning  , we were both able to depart this "good choice" primitive campsite together a little after 10:am. Our next stop was Miami, AZ, for a nice lunch break [ image ]

With exception of just too cold nights and early mornings for me, this was another rewarding and humbling multi-day visit to our Tonto NF- Northwest Sierra Ancha Mountains area and to the remote Salome wild area.
