| no partners | | This was a hike to arguably the best kept secret in Utah: The Candy Cliffs, aka Yant Flat.
This area reminded me of Zion, sans the crowds. In fact, I had the place to myself, although a couple of people were coming in as I was going out.
This place has some cool candy-like swirls and patterns on the Navajo sandstone in the area. I enjoyed walking around and checking out the views and the geology. There are lots of rock outcroppings just begging to be climbed, so I was happy to oblige them!
There are two main areas of exploration, and I only had time for one of them.
This is a neat place, and I would like to go back there again sometime -- one could easily spend the better part of a day out there. |

Wildflowers Observation Moderate In addition to the geology, there was a decent wildflower showing. |
