| no partners | | The trail head for Sherbrooke Lake in Yoho National Park, BC, Canada is a couple of hundred yards west of the "Great Divide Lodge" along the north side of the Trans Canada Highway 5+ kilometers west of the Alberta - British Columbia border. It can only be accessed West bound as there is no left turn lane from the East on this busy four lane highway.
This three hour out and back trail slowly climbs thru the forest paralleling Sherbrooke Creek. The forest allows you glimpses of Catherdral and Victoria Mountains to the south showing off the glaciers high in shaded areas near the peaks. Numerous planks placed across small water runs and boggy sections keep you from getting your feet wet. Two miles in you come to the lake surrounded by high mountains on three sides for some great photo opportunities. The trail continues for another mile to the end of the lake. |
