| partners | | On my recent 10/23 to 10/30 (7night/8day) vehicle camping-hike exploring trip to the Sierra Ancha, this was my fourth planned day hike. This one started out of the Billy Lawrence TH which was only a short 1.7mls drive further down FR235 from our [ Camp Grasshopper - Sierra Ancha FR235-C/Site#1 ]
This moderate, mostly off-trail, but relatively short 3 mile out-n-back hike which does require some route finding ability via ideally, downloading and following the posted HAZ hike guide "official" Gps route, is a true gem!
Our Sierra Ancha Wilderness has a wealth of expansive, short and distant rugged mountains, peaks, buttes, and cliff views. Combine all this with unique, unexpected, and numerous geological features to enjoy, and you have a true geology "candy store".
This hike I'm sure I will want to experience again as I'm fairly certain that there is more to enjoy here |
