| no partners | | I was under the weather the last week so when I felt like getting a hike in I thought it should be fairly easy and close by. I have been wanting to check out the new bike trails in McKenzie Ranch Trails Park and they looked kind of easy so I gave it a try. The hike itself is nothing to write home about, close up scenery is bland but the views out in the distance are great. Nice views of the up in your face Rincon Peak from the south. Hikers have to do this trail counterclockwise and bikers clockwise. This trail is in good condition, no logs, rocks or brush in the trail. When I got done with the hike my GPS indicated I did an avg of 3.2 MPH, that's really fast and I didn't feel like I was going that fast, I was trying to take it easy. The trail is in such good shape that it requires very little concentration allowing for a lot of time to think which sometimes is a bad thing. I composed a poem:
If you are down and just getting over the flu
Have an urge to hike but not sure what you can do
Get out and take a chance on the Lozen Trail
If you complete it and do not fail
It’s a good bet that your body is telling you
Something more challenging your ready to do
I didn't say it was a good poem. |
