Very nice trail. Some ups and downs, but generally down, as it winds through the trees above the lake. Lots of great viewpoints along the way. Very enjoyable walk. At the lake, we took a long break for a snack and swimming. Lots of perfect rocks for skipping rocks. This spot at the lake would be a perfect spot to photograph clouds moving in over the lake on an autumn day. Will have to keep that in mind.
We all got our shirts wet for the warm hike back up to the trailhead. Enough shade to break up the warm sections. Great little hike. The last few miles of dirt road are a little rough, but should not pose clearance problems for most sedans. |
