| no partners | | Idaho has turned me into a fan of hot springs over the last couple of summers. I hit these hot springs on my way up to the Bitterroots from a campground on the Salmon River, just north of Stanley.
These springs get outrageously busy, even with an early start I shared the springs with a few groups. I did have them to myself for a few minutes, but some early birds trickled in shortly after. On the way out it was a steady stream of people. The springs were great with several soaking options and temperature variations. Although, early summer snow melt had some of the usual pools more diluted with cold water than usual, per a regular attendee. The hike in is scenic and along a very well manicured trail that has clearly been built with high use in mind. |
