This is a route you could take if you are trying to get from Paradise on East Turkey Creek FR42B to Cave Creek Canyon FR42. There are some pretty impressive juniper trees along this trail. Trail is fairly easy to follow but in a few places hard to find, a GPS route in these spots is nice. The trail basically follows along Washburn Creek and continues taking the southern branch of the creek all the way to the saddle. Once at the saddle it follows another creek down to where the trail ends at FR4301 that will take you to FR42B and Paradise (not that Paradise). The morning was overcast and humid but the temps were in the upper 60's so it was nice hiking. With this hike finished I was able to get 32 miles in for June, not as much as I like to do but better than nothing. |
