Note: I did this hike as part of a 3 summit loop. See "China Peak" for all elevation and time stats.

After hiking China peak, I realized this peak was just over 1 mile North and thought it shouldn't be too hard to reach this peak. I noticed a trail following the fence line leading North and downhill from China peak. I followed the trail down. There were a few areas where I needed to cross the fence line, but there were good places to cross and the fence was low in many areas. I followed the fence line for 0.5 miles and the brush kept getting thicker so I started hiking downhill to the East to get to a road. I noticed that the road continued in the same direction as the fence, but further to the East. Eventually, the road curved and went uphill, reaching the same fence again. I followed the road to the fence crossing. Then, I looked at the ridge line leading to Peak 7115 and there was less brush. At this location, it seemed easier to follow the fence line rather than continue on the road. If I did continue on the road, I would need to bushwhack up a pretty steep slope near the peak. It seemed easier just to follow the ridge line. From here, it was another 0.9 miles of ridgeline to get to the summit. The first half wasn't bad and pretty easy to follow. After the halfway point the brush got thicker and I needed to walk around some of the thick sections. I also needed to cross the fence a few more times. At the summit, which was very similar to the elevation of China peak, I found a registry under a pile of rocks. The registry was a bit damp, but I was still able to sign it. I noticed entries from 2011 and June 2022 with nothing in between. This peak doesn't get many visitors. I noticed some steep rocky peaks to the North.

I parked at this location: 31.852462, -109.974445 which is the same location as for China peak.
