Note: the stats have been added to my triplog for Peak 8146

This was just one part of my 8.5 mile roundtrip hike near the Sunset trail and heading out to Mt Bigelow road. It was a very pleasant hike and shaded almost the entire way. The hike up to Spencer peak is a but steep but it's not very long. On the way up, I just basically followed a variety of animal trails and stayed in the shade as much as possible. Near the top, the brush got a bit thicker but I just weaved my way through it and the last 5 minutes of climbing was fairly open. I did see some green square markers on trees in some areas near the lower part and near the top I found some pink ribbons tied to trees. On the way down, I followed the pink ribbons to the unmarked trail which I will call the Sunset extension trail.
