Every approach to each of the crags is considerably longer now but at least the area was preserved. Major props to the old school motorcycle riders that cut many of these area trails that are now enjoyed by so many different user groups.

john and i have wanted to check out little granite mountain for something local
spent our day on the cone
got to use our anchors class knowledge setting topropes for four climbs
john also got to practice placing gear
slab climbing for the most part
on one of the climbs we just chose a line between three dopes and sideshow
would come up here again sometime to climb on lost bandana wall
fun day, nice weather, beautiful desert and a good partner

This was a second aniversary climb for Kelly and I. Seems hard to believe that time has gone by so quickly but it has also iproved our climbing a lot. Two years ago we were just gym climbing moderaes and now we sport lead those same levels outdoors.

This, however, was not leading as the routes are trad and we could easily top rope them. Good granite rick and good climbing. I was also tempted to try a trad lead on three dopes but we had already taken down the anchor when I got the inspiration. Next time.
