This was a nice little stop. The BLM has done pretty well with the site, considering the propensity of locals to shoot up everything in site in this area. Nice trails to the panels, a viewing platform for one, a covered picnic spot and restroom.

Day 5 HAZ 500th triplog
We headed down from Mount Logan to Mount Trumbull. Mount Trumbull was the most challenging hike on this trip. It was a 5 mile 1500ft gain trail. It wasn't that horrible. You do get some decent views from time to time on the trail. After the hike my friends decided to call the trip and start heading home. I went into town with them, topped off two of my tanks, and headed back out. I had planned on making my way back to the Mount Logan Campsite, and then head toward the North Rim area. I still had a couple days to play with. Since I was close to the Little Black Mountain Petroglyphs site, I decided to go take a look. This one mile hike was a bad decision. It was 90+. I took my time and took a lot of breaks. I used what little cloud cover I had to move around. It was a cool site that I will go back to, if Im in the area. I then headed toward Mount Logan. A few miles down the road, my breakline failed, and I had to call the trip. I did a temporary fix and started to head home. My friends where in Vegas and waited for me to there. We double checked the breaks and then headed home.

Back home in Arizona. Decided to check out some of the scorched land and rock art on the Arizona Strip. Great end to the day.
