We hiked into Camas Lake first, although not on purpose, as I had missed the spur trail to Kidney Lake on my way in. The spur trail to Kidney Lake starts approximately three-tenths of a mile before Camas Lake and is obscured with a little deadfall to avoid confusion with the main trail.
The trail up to Kidney Lake is a little primitive for the first couple tenths of a mile, but then it becomes a relatively good trail with an easy to follow tread. Kidney Lake was a scenic little lake and the more scenic of the two lakes in my opinion. After a quick dip at the lake for Dot, we returned the way we hiked into Camas. |
