Nice enough hike through forest. Great views from higher up. Had to turn back before the ascent onto the butte.

Great morning for a hike. We took the loop counter clockwise once we got to place where the trail splits. One couple at the viewpoint as we got there but they left shortly and we had the view to ourselves! Great views of the lake. The fire burning in the southwest corner of the park made the view a little smokey, but overall we had great views.
