Nice walk through forest park with friends. We enjoyed seeing the graffitied witch's house with its many colors. Overall, I enjoyed the large trees and water, being a desert dweller most of the time!

I don't recall the exact trail names, and I see the recorded route died part of the way through, but after the witch's house, we crossed a bridge and headed up hill to cross a road. Then it was up again until we made it to a beautiful historic house that is now a museum on top of the ridge. A magnificent house with such pretty landscaping and a sweeping view. We did not go in, but instead headed back down to the car. A beautiful time spent with friends in the greenery!

A group of us took a bus to the Pittock Mansion in Forest Park, overlooking Portland and the lower Willamette Valley. We explored the grounds before heading down the Wildwood Trail. This is an unapologetic tourist route and was used appropriately. So much so that we only hiked it downhill, with the bus meeting us at the bottom to shuttle us to our next stop at Ex Novo. Who could complain about that!?

Sometime I'd like to cover the full length of Wildwood, and wouldn't mind going uphill either! It's my second visit to Forest Park, and it's a central city gem!

Weekend in Portland. Had to get out to do some hiking and biking between relaxing and enjoying the sights. Weather was perfect.

The Wildwood trail is one of the most popular trails in Portland. The park is located near the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers. Very nice trail system. Ron and I did a loop with the Aspen trail and one or two others. Started and ended at Pittock Mansion. Very cool place.
