Better views than I expected as it was a little clearer than the weather forecast had predicted. Took the upper trail on the ay to the lake and the lower trail on the way back. Saw three backpacking groups leaving on my way in and then quite a few people heading up as I headed down. Very popular trail. Falls below the lake were nice and there was still a little snow on the peaks behind the lake.

Go for the gorgeous views and scenery. Don't go for the solitude as you won't find much on this crowded trail. Couldn't ask for better weather. The peaks looked great with a recent dusting of new snow. Some water on the trail. We took the upper trail to the lake and took the lower trail back down. Lower was definitely a little muddier than the upper. Falls right before the lake were beautiful.
