| no partners | | We last hike this trail in July 2015 so this was our first time on the new route. While we understand the need to route it away from the river bank where erosion had created unsafe conditions, the new route loses a lot more riverside walking than we had anticipated. That being said, the trail was in great condition and the new trail actually shaves a little mileage off the hike. As others have noted, the paved road is so much nicer and while we thought that this might lead to even more crowds than before, it wasn't too bad out there today. Water is as beautiful as always. Sections remind us of the Siouxon Creek trail in southern Washington that was a favorite of ours. |
