| no partners | | I missed the parking lot on the first try. You drive into an office complex and into the trail parking lot. The locals told me there was more water than usual for this time of year. I hiked to Twin Falls, Sculpture Falls, and top of the hill Falls. Out and back. There is a great tree canopy for most of this hike. It was humid so I was still drenched in sweat after a couple miles. The Falls were not big but there was nice swimming holes above and below them. Twin Falls was the busiest with maybe 25 people. The other two had maybe 10 people. I only had to cross the water once right before Top of the Hill Falls and it was not deep, too cold or slippery. There was a constant buzz of cicada the whole hike. The water was always in reach to cool off at anytime. I saw half a dozen turtles, a couple crawdads, and some small fish. Although quite the sweat fest I still enjoyed the hike. |
