Rather than hike into White Canyon, I wanted to hike to the edge of the Rincon. The Rincon is a horseshoe shaped valley surrounded by steep cliffs. It is curious that the valley is named, but not the cliffs surrounding it. In any event, the horseshoe opens to the Gila River, near Cochran. It was not a particularly difficult hike even though there is not trail, but the view of the cliffs in that rugged area was awsome.
