Took my Cub Scouts on this trail. Had a good time with 30 little hikers.

This was a tough hike for me because of the steep mountains. I wasn't ready for that. I pulled a leg muscle the first mile and suffered every step after that. I only completed twelve miles before I had enough.

I made two mistakes for this trail. One, I didn't stretch after the three hour drive and two, I carried to much water. Pack was to heavy. I was not where water was so I carried enough to last. Too much.

Went on this trip with my cubscouts. Nice little hike with a wonderful pool at the end. Hike is fairly easy with a clearly marked trail. Perfect for a day hike with the family in beautiful Prescott, Az.

The Thumb Butte area offers many different trails other than the south trail up Thumb Butte mountain. On the north side are 5 connecting trails that are less used but with equally beautiful scenery.

did this trail twice in one shot. Good for training for harder trails or just a nice hike in the woods with a little work out.

Pave path is very steep, may want to take that side down unless training.

Loved this hike! The extra days rest was just what I needed down in the canyon. Swimming in the crystal clear blue water was wonderful. I'm planning to take this trip again in May of 07.
