| no partners | | Yes, it is possible to hike beautiful Sedona without seeing a single person on the trail. My wife and I did this hike after reading Joe Bartel's description and we were not disappointed. The only company we had were eagles and songbirds too numerous to count. It was warm (90 deg), but the trail is shaded almost the entire way. The soft breeze blowing up the draw kept us cool. LOTS of poison ivy on the trail so we had to watch our step. |

Dropped down off of saddle into a quiet canyon and walked another 1/2 mile West before turning around. Met only 10 people (all of them couples) and NO DOGS. Very quiet, pristine and peaceful. Expected a crowd since it was a Sunday afternoon and it took us 20 minutes to get through the entrance gate. Most of the people were in the picnic areas and on other trails. Highly recommend this hike. So close to a metroplis with over 4 million people and we felt like we were in a wilderness. |
