Trail Head easy to find off of Pinnacle Peak and Alma School

Round Trip is approximatley 3.5 miles

Beautiful trail with lush Sonoran Desert life. Pretty easy but still a nice work out if you attack it at a reasonable pace. Nice views of the valley. Great place to take visitors based on location and ease of trail. 1.75 miles to the end and you turn around and head back. You go up, down, up, down, up, down, up and down. Recommended for all hikers. Great for a running trail.

Trail Head easy to find. Take Spur Cross Road until pavement ends and 1.5 miles on dirt road.

Very easy to hike with wide trails (for the most part). Very good for trail runners. Depending which trail you take, allows you to make a loop or return on the same trail. Costs 3$ per person if you are honest at trail head. Maps are typically available.

As mentioned on several other triplogs, we noted the following:

1) Location of Trail Head is approximately 1/4 mile south of the intersection at Cave Creek and School House Road (on School House Road)
2) Parking is limited but the further you are from the trail head the easier to park
3) Trail is steep and rocky, good for cardiovascular work out
4) Top provides very good views of the valley

P.S. Our time took 3 hours due to the fact I took pictures and my 7 year old son went with us. It does not take that long.
