Good hike for distance, but not a lot of shade trees. There is a lot of sand on this hike! Hope you like the beach!

I did this loop in addition to the San Tan, and this part was the slowest moving part. Lots of sand in the wash at the bottom of Goldmine Mountain. The views of the mountain are fantastic, and some of the largest Saguro Cacti I have ever seen.

This is a really great hike. Lots of wilderness to wander through. The trail gets a little narrow at points, but nothing a little turning sideways cant handle. Overall a easygoing hike with spectacular views. Take a camera if possible. Probably not the best idea to go after a rainstorm since you cross a wash/creek a number of times. Ran into a few creatures along the way such as woodpeckers, chipmunks, and a frog or two. The view at the top is quite amazing. If you like solitude on your hikes like I do, better go early since this is a very popular hike. On the way down i must have passed by at least 80-90 people, many of them in large groups of 10 or more. Not as many wildflower sightings as I had hoped for. Enjoy!!

Not a ton of water around, but just enough to have some pools of water to hike and jump across in the creek.
