| no partners | | such a nice day for hiking. it got really windy though and i dont like wind too much. but i saw an old friend on the way up and had a short little talk. i was a little slow going up but i was really cruisin on the way down. made it to the draw in about 44min. and i really flew running down the steep rock. pretty tired though. last weekend was easy and i think it threw my body real out of wack. but it was fun like every other one. |

| no partners | | This one was cool. i was suprised at how many petroglyphs were there but also disappointed at all the sad fakes. they make it really hard to judge between the true art and the fakes.but other than that we saw plenty of tadpoles in the water. we saw some tiny baby tadpoles and small frogs with small nubby tails. and everything in between. and a nice size rattle snake drinking the water. he was really calm and let me get at least 4ft away from him without disturbing him. the hike was easy though. worst part was the loose rocks and the nats |

| no partners | | Finally had a hiking partner. but once we got to the top instead of eating and exploring he wanted to eat and decend. he was afraid of getting sunburned and wanted to start back down. and we didnt really make good time either. we got slowed down by some rock climbing and picture ops. it was a nice hike though |

| no partners | | First i intended on just going up Siphon Draw to 5024. But when i got up there i though i should explore a little. i started on the ridgeline trail and just kept going. and i was going solo. that was a hell ofa hike. i wasnt expecting that. this was alot longer than i thought. i was able to ration the 4 liters of water but ended up throwing most my food out at the flatiron. bad mistake cause i needed the energy. i was really worn out buy the boulder hopping by 5057. and by time i got to the peak i was too tired tired to go to the sumit. as the trail dropped into the canyon it seemed like i just kept walking deeper into the mountains. i was extremely relieved when i came over the saddle of Cairny to see the fork in the road to cairny. it still took a while to get down that. but once i got on the straight trail towards peralta road, it was a peace of cake. all but the cows. i only saw three at first. then saw the other four or five with the two babies. i walked right into the middle of them without noticing. i was pretty nevous cause there was a big bull right on the trail. but they ended up getting out of the way. so i was happy
Awesome hike. Just not experienced enough. dont got the stamina. i wont be doing it for a while. but highly recomended if you know you can make it |

| no partners | | It was a short hike up to the Dacite cliffs mine. i was pretty bummed to find the mine barred up. i was really looking forward to going back in there. its been years since i been in there. and i had no idea that there was a very well marked trail leading to the mine, so about a quarter of a mile before that trail we started bushwhacking. good thing we spotted it before the sun went down. we took the easy way out.
lots of cool views although i was bummed that i forgot the camera. scattered rain and hard gusts made it chilly out.
and if anyone has any info about The Dons camp at the end of the peralta trail, id like to know a little more about that. i found no tresspassing signs but it being u.s. nat. forest was kinda confusing. is that open to the public? |

| no partners | | not a very great hike saturday. i went up alone again. like everyother time. this time i decided to explore a little before the draw. to bad the trail i took was hard to follow. i had to bushwhack for about 1/2 a mile. and took at least 2 1/2 hours. then when i got to the high point i wanted i started my descent. too bad for me, the only "quick" way down was blocked by a hive of bees right on the trail. anyway... i eventually got down and it was nice to get home and off my feet. next weekend i will stay on the main trail. and i will enjoy myself |

| no partners | | Another awesome hike. and again i had to go alone. I climbed more and looked around more. I got down with plenty of water and took a nice nap back at the trailhead. Looking off the flatiron to the trail below and i saw some trash. i heard about the t-38 crash so i figured that was it. so on the way back down i found a little side trail that took me to the wreck. Pictures should show up in a little while. it was a good saturday |

| no partners | | It was a nice day today. It was my second time hiking the siphon draw and i made it to the sumit. it was challenging making it to the top. And about half way between the FI and the sumit i ran out of water. Luckily a nice guy helped me out a little ways back down with a bottle of gatorade. But ill make sure to bring a few bottles with next time instead of just the camelback. and the 4 hours isnt counting the stay at the top. or the sumit. just from the trailhead to the FI and back down. |

| no partners | | It was pretty cool. My first hike. My first solo hike. I had no idea what I was up against. But I'm planning on going up the next weekend. Spent about an hour and a half at the Flatiron checking out the view. But my times are just estimates. |
