Didn't get started till late. Really got warm on the way down. Gnats were a real problem, they seriously got annoying after the 6th mile. Still a rewarding hike. Didn't get to the summit - we missed the fork at the cleared viewpoint on the ridge, but we found it after we backtracked a bit. May do this one again in the cooler months.
