We saw some very interesting tracks including grouse, fox, mouse, squirrel, deer, elk, and moose. The sky was clear and the air was still, and the trees were still covered in a wet snow. We saw a rare sight of actual icicles hanging from every branch of a few pine trees. When the sun came out some trees began to drop snow in small clumps and every now and then a heavy thump was heard that sounded like a deer bounding away. The forest was having a snowball fight with us and we were losing. Once it got even warmer the dripping was like a rain under the trees; all while the sky was blue. |
