| no partners | | Took this Hike on a trip with my back country class. Lots of great camping spots, especially for hammocks. It was really nice to take a break from the not so tasty water in prescott and enjoying some fresh spring water on these trails. Did some tracking, on an off day, and found remnants of a re-melted lava rock from a fire; what we estimated to be from the Tonto Native Americans. |

| no partners | | I worked a over night shift the night prior and headed out on the trail at about 9:30 am. Attempted to summit Granite at 7626 ft and failed. Wasn't prepared with a map or much else, just the tip that there's a trail that breaks of to the left off the main trail in the second saddle. Was taken for a loop and ended up turning back and having lunch on the vista point at 7185 ft. Which gave me the motive to do more research and in the process, joining this site. |

| no partners | | Been here before but decided to come back with a buddy and get up to the peak. The power lines killed it for me the first time but walking the ridge and doing some non-technical rock climbing was super cool. when we got up to the top, there was a crow just coasting in the air in the same place right next to us. |
