| no partners | | | Fun little trail system in Prescott although I would recommend doing it when the temps are below 90 degrees. There are two separate trails that are separated by a dirt access road. Was perfect for the boys who enjoyed light scrambling over the smooth granite. The trail is well marked with spray painted white "markers" showing you where to go. |

| no partners | | | Quick little hike in my backyard this morning to break in my new boots. Planned on a 5 mile loop but my tendonitis started to flare up so had to cut it short. Saw a few lizards but nothing much in the way of excitement. |

| no partners | | | Hiked the Tom Moody loop counterclockwise. Ended up losing the trail on the backside of the loop (must have missed the trailmarker) and a 2.5 mile loop hike turned into 4 miles. Still a great hike and was enough enough with kids. My boys absolutely loved seeing the waterfall. |

| no partners | | | Was extrememly windy the day we decided to do this. My youngest was almost being blown sideways at points. Still a fun little hike with lots to see. Being at National Park/Monument the kids once again earned their junior ranger badge. Wish I could have visited this place years ago when the ice cave was open. |

| no partners | | | Evening hike after work. Started at the Goodwill parking lot and hiked to the NMVC and then took the trail to an exit point close to the house. The trail is of course well maintained and the only difficult portion is a steep climb just past Cave Creek road. Coming across some of the high sections as the sun was setting made for a beautiful sight. |

| no partners | | | Great short hike. Great views from the top of each little peak. Many different trails through the area so actual distance will vary depending on the path you choose. The day we did it was overcast and the rain came in as we were on the tail end of the hike. Made for a great experience. Our feet were soaked by the time we got back to the trailhead but our spirits were high. So glad I remembered the rain jackets. |
