| no partners | | Post Woodbury fire trek into the Superstition wilderness. With access restrictions lifted, I hiked into the wilderness a couple miles to observe first hand how much of this wonderful landscape had been damaged. Many large deciduos trees have been lost forever.
The hillsides are badly scarred which has resulted in many small landslides and rock falls. Long stretches of trails have been washed away so very good route finding skills with gps tracking are essential if venturing even deeper into the Superstition wilderness.
The good news is that some new plant growth is already taking hold. |
