Happy Valley XCountry 4x4

Lots of heavy foliage and greenery. Many new trees in bloom.
Notated numerous waterways along creek beds from recent rainfalls.
Roadway is rough in some spots due to heavy rocks and washing, but otherwise;
is a wonderful ride.
Many open camp areas, but I'm fairly certain state permit is required. Do call
and check though for requirements.

This ATV trip was on a very narrow road. From the entrance of Coronado National Forest to Butterfield station, was fairly smooth going. From Butterfield station over to Dragoon Springs, I began seeing more vegetation and new growth, some Flora but at a minimal. See bottom note and photos. From Dragoon Springs all the way up to Blacktail Hill, the road became a little rougher and the terrain unstable. While this route is suitable for hikers, horseback, ATV and four by four, it is best to bring plenty of water and perhaps some snacks because the trail from the base a black tail Hill get steep and rough in places

wildflowers were at a minimal. see attached photos.

I began following the Powerline Road which broke off from the main road which was the access point to BLM Trust. As I began following the trail, it got narrower and more overgrown with foliage, heavy rocks and rugged terrain. I crossed over two separate River beds that were dry. As I traveled down the road, there were numerous cut-offs and what appeared be trails accessible for hikers and ATVs. When I finally ran out of Road, there were no other cut-offs, Trails or other viable access points. I had to turn around from the end of that road and started to backtrack. I thought I was going to have to retrace the entire route, but I found an access point to my left about a quarter to a half a mile back down the trail. Having took that cutoff Trail, it led me back over to the railroad tracks, at which point I followed the railroad tracks all the way back towards Dragoon. See attached photos.

Minimal Wildflower growth. Some small blooming flowers in shades of red, yellow, blue and a couple of peculiar green colored plants.

Blacktail Hill showing signs of growing foliage. Flora is minimum. Weather conditions good. Terrain is designed ATV traffic most of the way in 4-wheel drive. There are several foot paths leading off the main trails. Most of the foliage is cacti and dry weeds. Plenty of lush foliage at the lower elevations near Butterfield station and a long day trail to Dragoon Springs.

Began along west rim leading to Diamondback along 2142, then backtracked to the switchback and went to the highest point EOT at the quarry. Weather was moderate to good and plenty of new vegetation growth. This is the time of year for rattlers and other reptilian creatures including Gila monsters. I caution all to be Extremely Alert, as a Sidewinder was spotted on my previous trip.

Numerous yellow and violet blooms are beginning to grow at lower elevations and should see cacti blooming in the weeks to come

Took a ride north of Mescal up towards Muller River,but the gate was closed at the entrance. Roadway was slight to rough in some areas. Took a secondary road that lead up a steep peak at just over 4200^.
Took numerous photos along the route back. Very green foliage and other blooming cacti and flora. There was a very distinct scent of fresh greenery, water, rosewood and vanilla to name a few. I will be going back in a few days to reblog the trip properly
