Followed google maps directions to the trail head, and this was probably a mistake. I would recommend not turning left onto 9th ave when on W S road, the road just north of the airport. Instead, follow W S road until you are forced to turn left when the road ends, and then turn left again once you get to the intersection with the diagonal north east road.
The hike was pretty steep and exhausting, I drank over a gallon of water and didn't pee once.
