| no partners | | | Belated post. Early morning hike out in Verrado. This was a fact finding mission for this new trail. Hiked all, of what I took to be the official trail. Went up the staircase and then followed trail to top of hill. Decent workout to get to this point. Pretty much all the elevation is gained within the first .25 miles, after that there are some gradual ups and downs, but nothing like the entry point. After that, worked my way down through all the official trails, top to bottom. Had to back track on the middle trail (.2 miles on way) to make it work. Surprisingly, not much mileage garnered from doing all the trails....only about 1.6 in total. That being said, this is a popular spot for the locals (saw over 50 people on the trails), though most don't get much further than the stairs. |
