| no partners | | Lower Verde River kayak trip from Bartlett Dam to Box Bar RAP. River was at 258. Fun trip at 258--water was moving at a decent rate, a few flat sections with wind, but not too much work and water depth was good all the way to Needle Rock.
Along the river there's plenty of deep swimming holes, multiple 10'-18' cliff jumps and even a rope swing. Only recommendation is if you go during a weekend, take out at Needle Rock instead of BB. Between Needle Rock and BB you'll find nothing but shallow water, ORVs, drunk people and loud music. |
