Black Canyon Trail Gravesites
Does anyone know anything about the two marked graves along the Black Canyon Trail? They are roughly 4.6 miles from the Black Canyon City Trailhead if traveling Northbound.

Snow Levels Resource
IS there a good resource/map that shows the current snow levels around the state? I was trying to find the snow level and all I came up with was this https://weatherstreet.com/weather-forecast/arizona-snow-cover.htm . Hoping to find somewhere where I can zoom in and get a estimate of the amount of s...

Oh thanks for this! Passing this on to the rangers, I have been "relocating" these rocks for over a year(as directed).skatchkins wrote:There's a grip of them scattered around South Mountain along with Christmas balls. Courtesy of and signed by https://www.instagram.com/ml_rocks/

Old Big Agnes Pads
We have two Big Agnes pads that have been warrantied. They sent replacements, but now we have these old ones laying around taking up space. Any ideas on what you guys do with them rather then end up in the landfill..... ](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)

Re: FR 4 Road Conditions
Is this the road the leads out from behind the fire station and intersects the AZT? If so we mountain biked it recently. We opted to not take my friends lifted Jeep Wrangler which was a good choice. The road has been washed out in sections and would probably only be passable in a highly modified 4x4...

Honestly I don't know for sure, but it was just the way we went because we spent the night in Kanab.

Re: Deer Creek/Thunder River loop
@johnsonfam77 We came in from Kanab two week back and the roads were in great condition. A huge portion of 22 is paved and makes for fast travel. Once on the dirt the road was still pretty smooth with the occasional pothole. We took a 2014 Forester, but with a lower clearance car it could be done i...

Re: Deer Creek/Thunder River loop
Just an FYI we were down there to do the loop counter clockwise last weekend and had our food destroyed at Upper Tapeats Campground. The food was in a Outsack Spectrum tied to a dry bag of dishes. It was laying against a rock on the ground while we went and did a hike for 1.5 hours. The first person...

Re: Last minute gear questions:
@gringodevil Because we are only doing a few sections at a time we often are just carrying the water we need if the AZT app water reports don't provide enough. The reports on the app are updated very often right now because of all the Northbounders on the trail. In most areas we have found cell cov...

Re: Last minute gear questions:
I have been aggressively section hiking it this year to finish it by May. - Bring a rain jacket for sure. -A warmer bag is always advised as the weather at the high elevations can get pretty chilly with the winds. We have had multiple nights in the high 20's at elevation this year. -We always use a ...
