My first backpacking, camping trip.

Post by GTG_AZH »

We're about to head out the door to go up north. Tomorrow will be my first backpacking overnighter and also my first step inside the Grand Canyon. I got my pack up to about 35 pounds, and I need to go to Home Depot to find a kitchen sink that will fit in my pack.

Wish us luck and good weather.
joe, you may want to add another drive to the server, - I plan on taking a whole slew of pictures.
Stories and pictures to follow next week.

GTG - Really enjoyed your photos. I have hiked the Canyon 5 times but never tire of seeing it again, and again. Will be undertaking a RTRTR in a couple of weeks, look for a report (and photos) afterwards.

R to R to R

Post by GTG_AZH »

nealz, yep thank God for those poles. I didn't have to use any dead mole pelts, but I did encounter one squirrel that bit the crap out of my pole tip.

lobo41, that's funny you say that, on our way back, someone on the radio asked somebody if they got enough R&R this weekend. My reply was that we had R to R to R.

I guess you had to be there.

My last set of photos has been uploaded. There are now photos of the Bright Angel Campground. Hope they all aren't too boring.

So did anyone spot the picture with the deer yet?
