Had a Bummer Day

A water main broke at Love Field, the airport in Prescott, and the City of Prescott shut it off to repair it. The plant I work out, as a result, had no water then, bummer. So we were sent home. Bummer. Well never looking a gift horse in the mouth, what did we do? Hauled on home, grabbed my fanny pack and young son and went hiking at Gaddes Canyon! I hope all of you didn't have a bummer day.[/b]

So you got a day off AND you got to go hiking? I wish I could have more bummer days like you...

I think that since I had the day off and DIDN"T get to go hiking this should qualify me as having a bummer day... Instead I stayed home and got my palm tree trimmed and created a homeless bird family. The baby bird is now in a shoe box below the tree hoping momma bird will find it. I am almost certain she has found it but is trying to figure out how to get it back to a nest some where.... how's that for a bummer day? I hang my head in shame.....

I did do a google search and it wasn't a whole lot of help but it did give me a few clues so I am feeding it strained turkey meat mixed in water and leaving the box out by the tree it came out of cause it said the mother may come back and continue to raise it from ground level.... So I have to make sure it has shade tomorrow before I leave for work in the am! I sure hope the little guy lives..I'm such a sap!

Its 0515 and I just checked on the little bird.....its dying.....

I tried to feed it some but it wouldn't take it.... There are other birds out there with it. I think I will just leave him for them to take cae of cause obviusly I can't do what it needs...

his water spilled and he got cold through the night.... I moved him away form the wet spot and perhaps if it warms up quickly enough he could make it.....I don't know....
