Finally some 9 months after buying the new Giant Trance 2 I started to THINK about selling the 'old' 2004 Trance 2. Not quite ready to part with it (even though I hadn't ridden it in months) I've dragging my feet. But with 4 bikes in our shed something has to go.
Before doing anything I talked Tracey into trying out my old Trance 2. All it took was a few rides and she decided it was her 'new' bike. So... her 'old' (although 10 years younger than the Trance 2) bike is now for sale:
2014 Giant Rincon 24-speed hard-tail mountain bike
- SR XCM 100mm suspension fork
- 24-Speed Shimano trigger shifting, Shimano Alivio rear derailleur
- Tektro mechanical disc brakes
- Giant XC Alloy rim/Formula disc hub, wheelset
- Frame size: S (16")
- 26 x 2.1 tires (less than 90 miles on them)
This bike is in great shape... the previous owner used it only for a short daily commute. Since Tracey bought it she has only put 89 miles on it.
This bike sold new for $650.
$250 cash.

It is when at least three must be taken out of the shed to get to anything else, like right now... I need to access a few tools to dispose of another trapped skunk.Nighthiker wrote:Four bikes in the fleet is not that bad

This year for some reason one skunk after another have been digging in to take residence under the shed. #1 and this one were trapped live while #2 had its neck snapped. :-({|=
So with another live one to deal with my morning is off to a great start. :bdh:

Details at 5?
I'd love to hear how you deal with a live, trapped skunk.

1. Run hose into wheeled trash container until half full of waterSredfield wrote:I'd love to hear how you deal with a live, trapped skunk.
2. Use rake to drag skunk over to trash container by the chain to the trap
3. Lift the chain with skunk still attached (it's usually so involved with getting out of the trap to even think about spraying)
4. Drop the skunk into its new swimming pool
5. Wait til the skunk stops moving and the bubbles stop rising (luckily trap is heavy enough to hold it down)
6. Wait another 15 minutes or more
7. When you feel up to it, pull it out and remove the skunk from the trap
8. Double-bag it and drop in the now-empty trash container and hope trash pickup day is soon.
Luckily the first two skunks were dealt with the morning of trash pickup day.

Unfortunately trash pickup is three days away so I'm kind of wanting to leave it underwater for a day or so before continuing on to #7... but then again, even under water it may be ripe by time I have to open the trap.

Aw, what the heck, it's Tracey's house so I'll wait til she gets hoe from work and she can decide... or deal with it herself. [-X
