A woman from Arizona made a big fuss about doing that, started it, and quit right away, saying it wasn't where she wanted to be. I could go on and on about that woman, but am glad I no longer see her on social media. Blocking works very well.

I understand that. This is another woman who some of us are familiar with, not on HAZ, though. She talked for a year about doing the Argentina to Alaska walk, went to South America, then quit. She was making a splash in the newspapers for other things at the same time.

It sounds like a worthwhile adventure, but I wouldn't want to be committed to that pace.

Long-distance walking is really hard. I've known lots of people who quit trails after a short (or longer) period of time. I don't look down on any of them--at least they tried.
