Hi folks,
Any interest in a Hermit-Boucher loop in the Grand Canyon at some point in October? I'd love to see old hiking buddies again, it's been too long! Some of my favorite (and least favorite) hiking memories were with you guys!
I'm looking at two nights in the Canyon, one in the Boucher Creek area (at large camping) and one at Hermit Creek (designated site) before hiking out.
It is early I know, but I wanted to see if anyone was interested in joining so we can talk about what dates work best and apply for permits in advance.
Cheers!

@te_wa
I've done that. Looking for new territory. Also thinking about North Bass and then up Shinumo Creek, do some fishing.

I took the 12th off so I'm good to go. If Denny decides to go I'll bring him a coke.

Re: Hermit-Boucher Loop in October
So between the time that I posted this event and today my wife and I took new jobs and are in the middle of a move to the Central Valley. I haven't applied for permits for this hike.
I'm trying to see how I could make this work. Do you guys think a day-hike would be feasible? I could fly into PHX the 12th and we hike the 13th. Either a night in flag or back to PHX after. It seems like you guys have done as day hike before. Let me know if you'd be interested in doing this one again or if there's another hike you'd want to do.
Sorry for being flaky but it'd be cool to make something work that weekend.

It's not a day hike for the average good hiker. Only for those marathon types.

Re: Hermit-Boucher Loop in October
Hey all,
It doesn't look like this is gonna end up working for me. Have been waiting for a date that the moving company is going to deliver our stuff and it ended up the weekend of the 12th.
I'll be back soon. Maybe we can get in something in the Supes when it cools off.
Sorry for being a flake on this one.](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)
